World Cancer Research Fund International
Regular Grant Programme
The WCRF Regular Grant Programme funds research into the effects of diet, nutrition (including body composition) and physical activity on cancer prevention and survivors. This aims to help the WCRF to achieve their mission of living in a world where no one develops a preventable cancer and improving the lives of cancer survivors.
The grant programme accepts applications from anywhere in the world except the Americas (North America, Central America including the Caribbean, and South America) and is now open to applicants.
This year, there will be two main themes:
- Identifying the mechanisms that underpin the effects of diet, nutrition and physical activity on cancer
- Addressing the host factors that influence an individual’s susceptibility to cancer development or progression
For the research area of cancer survivors, the WCRF also encourage broader research into the identification of likely causal links between diet, nutrition, physical activity and outcomes after cancer diagnosis, as robust evidence on these links is still lacking.
