Palliative Care MSc/PGDip/PGCert/ Short Courses

Kings College London in partnership with St Christophers Hospice and the Cicely Saunders Institute. 

The palliative Care MSc programme at the Cicely Saunders Institute, King’s College London is designed for all health and social care professionals working in palliative care and related areas. The course has developed a national and international reputation educating students who work in palliative and end of life care from all over the world. It is designed to enhance students’ knowledge and skills in palliative care and to develop their future careers. The flexible study programme offers a well-rounded curriculum and a qualification that has allowed many students to successfully progress into senior roles and publish high-impact peer-reviewed journals. Most importantly, it has led to changes in the lives of people with advanced disease and their families.


They also have on offer three prestigious scholarships from the Kirby Laing Foundation. UK-based students with an interest in conducting research in either dementia or stroke will be eligible to apply. There will be one dementia and two stroke scholarships for January 2017 entry, which will each fund course tuition fees. Please find more information about the scholarships here:

2017 Entry:
The deadline to submit an application is 9TH December 2016. The course will start in January 2017.


2018 Entry:
The deadline to submit an application is 31st October 2017 (international applicants) and 1st December 2017 (EU/Home applicants).
