The Prevention of Shoulder Problems (PROSPER) - training for health professionals
ACPOPC members were involved with the PROSPER Trial. The following information is from Esther Williamson from the PROSPER team
We are writing to you as you were involved in the PROSPER trial or expressed an interest in the PROSPER online training course. The results from the PROSPER trial have now been publish in the BMJ and can be accessed here. We are delighted to tell you that the training course hosted on FutureLearn is now available: Helping patients recover from breast cancer treatment: a programme to prevent shoulder problems. The first course will begin on the 29 November 2021 and will be an unfacilitated course which means it is user led without any assistance from a PROSPER expert.
We also plan to run a private, facilitated course at the start of 2022 (date to be confirmed) where a member from the PROSPER team will be on hand to answer any questions and we would like you to be part of this private course. Please nominate your colleagues to take part if you would prefer not to take part.
The purpose of running the private course is to get more detailed feedback from learners to help us measure the impact of the training and to see if learners are able to deliver the PROSPER programme as part of their clinical service.
You cannot sign up for the private course on the FutureLearn website but if you or a colleague would like to take part in this private course then please contact us at prosper@exeter.ac.uk. The course will run for 4 weeks and will take a maximum of 2 hours each week to complete. We encourage learners to complete the training each week to benefit from the facilitation.
